So, since Michelle started the DIY fashion doc, I decided to fix these boots I got a while ago. I really liked them but the tongue was all gathered and would just stick out really far after walking for a minute (Anna remembers). So, I decided to try ripping the elastic inside of it out so it wasn’t so scrunchy. That helped a little but I still want something there to go over the gather marks and help hold it in. So, I think I’m going to give them some laces. I can either just punch a hole or, punch a hole and use an eyelet. I was thinking the eyelet could be dark, or could be something that stands out. I drew in what I’m thinking. let me know what you think about color.

I was also thinking of trying to find some other sort of fastener. Like a button and an elastic loop.

Carving into mdf for a fundraiser I’m putting together for 221a with Hamza, Ellen and Ken (yes that is a large, large nail); a fullish-size model of some ideas for Walrus.

When I finished the second line of carving, I made the left-hand movement for ‘Save’…

- Secretly watching a merkin-show-viewer look down her pants to, what we assume, gauge if one of the merkins would fit her. And then watching her boyfriend make it to second and a half base in front of the merkin store.

I made some things for this day. Can’t believe it was almost two weeks ago.. feels like longer. Possibly because I am now halfway around the world. Anyway, here!

WordPress has been giving me some grief for uploading images from China, so Brian had to do this for me. Hopefully I can figure it out.

The supplies I brought to ladies’ studio day. Fabric from Marimekko, ribbon purchased half price at Dressew by Yvonne and lavender from the Vancouver Island farm belonging to the mother of The Benton Brothers.

Yay, sachets for the dryer! Or to tuck in your underwear drawer. The studio smelled very lavender-y that day.
