Well, I got my gold taken out today and replaced with porcelain. It was a pretty cool process. They take photos of the tooth and then a modeling program builds the suggested shape for the crown by looking at the existing tooth and combining it with one from the “tooth library”. Then, this porcelain cube on a post gets cnc milled to shape, leaving a tiny stem that is cut off after. I even got to keep my gold and it just so happens to have a little hole large enough to fit a chain through it. Jealous?

Shoe project

So, since Michelle started the DIY fashion doc, I decided to fix these boots I got a while ago. I really liked them but the tongue was all gathered and would just stick out really far after walking for a minute (Anna remembers). So, I decided to try ripping the elastic inside of it out so it wasn’t so scrunchy. That helped a little but I still want something there to go over the gather marks and help hold it in. So, I think I’m going to give them some laces. I can either just punch a hole or, punch a hole and use an eyelet. I was thinking the eyelet could be dark, or could be something that stands out. I drew in what I’m thinking. let me know what you think about color.
I was also thinking of trying to find some other sort of fastener. Like a button and an elastic loop.

Has everyone else seen this? And if yes, why didn’t anyone show me?!
Our dear friend Tobias posted his updated portfolio recently and I found this gem:

My Swedish bud Kim tells me the translation is similar to, “Everyday I’m conducting shady business.”

Old Emeel screenshot; once I tried to access my spreadsheet and Chrome said ‘ok’; galatic dresses I dream about; a window Fieldwork is doing for Walrus.
Gems from today’s epic work session with Em, Anya and I:
- Does that say…Vantasy…on that van? – Heeeey Ladies…. – Is that YOUR Vantasy?! – Lookin’ fine in your navy blue post office jacket maybe not post office jacket but looking like a nice navy blue jacket………
- When did you know you wanted to be a space re-conceptualizer, Anna?
- Secretly watching a merkin-show-viewer look down her pants to, what we assume, gauge if one of the merkins would fit her. And then watching her boyfriend make it to second and a half base in front of the merkin store.
- Emilie, sitting.
- Hey! Your strings aren’t equal!! What the fuck, Michelle!!!

But so perfectly so. Maison Martin Margiela Closed-toe Slip-ons. Such a good contrast of clomp vs. non-clomp.
